Faucet Repair
Stop Leaks and Restore Proper Water Flow
A dripping or leaking faucet can waste water, damage the surrounding cabinet or countertop, and become increasingly difficult to operate. Felger Hart Residential provides professional faucet repair and replacement for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, utility sinks, and other areas of the home.
We serve homeowners throughout Fort Wayne, Bluffton, Wells County, Allen County, and surrounding Northeast Indiana communities.
Signs Your Faucet Needs Repair
Contact our plumbers if you notice:
- Water dripping from the spout
- Leaking around the faucet base
- Moisture beneath the sink
- Loose, stiff, or squeaking handles
- Reduced or uneven water flow
- Inconsistent water temperature
- A clogged or damaged sprayer
- Corrosion or mineral buildup
- Water continuing to run after the faucet is turned off
- Unusual noises when using the fixture
A faucet leak may originate inside the fixture, around its connections, or from the water-supply lines beneath the sink. Our plumbers will locate the source before recommending a repair.
Common Faucet Problems
Faucets contain cartridges, seals, washers, aerators, valves, and other components that can wear or become restricted over time. The appropriate repair depends on the faucet’s design and where the problem is occurring.
Common repairs include:
- Replacing worn cartridges, washers, or seals
- Repairing loose handles and connections
- Clearing or replacing clogged aerators
- Correcting leaks around the faucet base
- Repairing or replacing sprayer components
- Replacing damaged supply lines or shutoff valves
- Addressing improper faucet installation
Our team works with many common single-handle, double-handle, pull-down, wall-mounted, and touchless faucet designs.
Should You Repair or Replace Your Faucet?
Repair is often practical when the faucet is in good condition and the problem involves a replaceable internal component. Replacement may offer better value when the fixture is heavily corroded, frequently leaks, requires unavailable parts, or no longer meets your household’s needs.
You may also choose replacement when updating the appearance or functionality of a kitchen or bathroom.
Felger Hart Residential will evaluate the existing fixture and explain whether repair or replacement makes the most sense.
Faucet Replacement and Installation
Correct installation helps prevent leaks around the fixture, supply connections, and countertop. Our plumbers can remove an existing faucet and install a compatible replacement supplied by the homeowner or selected for the project.
Available faucet features may include:
- Pull-down or pull-out sprayers
- Touch or touchless operation
- Single- or double-handle controls
- Water-saving flow options
- High-arc designs for larger sinks
- Integrated filtration connections
Before installation, we can check the sink configuration, mounting openings, water lines, shutoff valves, and surrounding plumbing for compatibility.
Leaks Beneath the Sink
Water beneath a sink does not always come from the faucet itself. The source may be a supply line, shutoff valve, drain connection, garbage disposal, or another nearby plumbing component.
If you find water inside a cabinet or on the floor, avoid using the affected fixture until the source can be identified. If the leak is active and you can safely reach the fixture’s shutoff valves, turn off its water supply and contact Felger Hart Residential.
